
Grilled Ham and Cheese Hot Cross Buns

We love hot cross buns in any form and cannot get enough of this Croque Monseiur inspired verison from M&S. Ready in under 20 mins these are a great way to sit back and get the kids involved. Serve for breakfast, brunch or lunch, these are sure to be a winner. Time and servings

Ingredients
- Butter, for greasing
- 4 M&S extremely cheesy hot cross buns, halved
- 4 slices M&S Collection Outdoor Bred Dry Cured Roasted Ham
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, optional
- 100g M&S Swiss Le Gruyère, grated
- 1 x 200g pack M&S Vintage Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Method
Step 1
Heat the grill to high and grease a 20cm square baking dish with a little butter.Step 2
Spread the bottom half of each hot cross bun with a little mustard, then top with slice of ham.Step 3
Sprinkle over ¾ of the grated cheese then sandwich closed with the top half.Step 4
Add the buns snugly to the baking dish. Then pour over the cheese sauce and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.Step 5
Set under the grill and cook for 8-12 mins, until golden, bubbling and deliciously gooey.
