
Hake with Peri Peri Peppers

For a fast, fresh combo with a bold chilli kick, try Hake with Peri Peri Peppers from OcadoLife recipe editor Lauren Hoffman. For even more flavour, you can steam the fish in a little veg stock instead of water. Serving with microwave rice keeps this nice and speedy, but swap in another side if you prefer – quinoa works well.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 2 mixed peppers, roughly chopped
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp peri peri hot (or mild) marinade, plus extra to serve
- 2 hake fillets
- 1 (250g) pack microwave wholegrain rice
- ½ lemon, cut into wedges
Method
Step 1
In a large pan, fry the peppers in the oil and peri peri over medium-high heat for 2 mins or until lightly charred, then push to one side.Step 2
Add the hake fillets with a splash of water, cover and steam on medium-low heat for 5-7 mins or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily.Step 3
Serve the hake with the rice (cooked as per pack instructions), lemon wedges and an extra drizzle of peri peri.
