Oven space can be in short supply when you’re cooking a roast, so let your air fryer share the load with chef and author Poppy O’Toole’s Honey-Mustard Air Fryer Roasties. “These five-ingredient roasties are glazed, golden and guaranteed to steal the spotlight from the bird or joint,” says Poppy. “You don’t even need to pre-boil, just whack ’em in and let the air fryer do its thing. Ingredients
- 6 medium maris piper potatoes, peeled and quartered – ensure the chunks are evenly sized
- 2 tbsp goose fat, melted, or flavourless oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tsp sea salt flakes, plus a good pinch
Method
Step 1
Toss the potatoes with the melted goose fat or oil and a pinch of fine salt.Step 2
Tip into the basket of your air fryer and cook for 30 mins at 160°C, giving them a good shake every 10 mins.Step 3
Increase the heat to 200°C and cook for a further 5 mins or until golden all over.Step 4
Meanwhile, melt the honey, mustard and sea salt in a small pan. Pour over the potatoes and toss to coat. Add another pinch of sea salt and serve.
