
Hot Honey

Ingredients
- 454g jar runny honey
- 2 tsp ancho chilli flakes
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 crumpets, to serve (optional)
- 40g mature cheddar, grated, to serve (optional)
Method
Step 1
Put the honey into a small pan with the ancho chilli flakes (or hotter ones if you prefer).Step 2
Bring to a simmer over a low heat. Cook for 5 mins, then turn off the heat and stir in the vinegar. Leave to cool completely, then pour back into the jar, ready for drizzling over toasted cheese-topped crumpets, if you like. Store in a cool cupboard for up to 12 months.
