Ingredients
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
- 2 tsp of sesame seeds, toasted
- 3 tbsp of soy sauce
- 3 tbsp of mirin
- 3 tbsp of sake
- 1 sheet of nori, shredded with scissors
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 4 spring onions, sliced
- 0.75 tbsp of sugar
- 4 sausages
Method
Step 1
To make the teriyaki sauce combine the soy sauce, mirin, & sake in a saucepan and bring to boil. Remove from the heat and mix in the sugar until dissolved.Step 2
Pan fry the sausages over a medium heat for about 8 mins until cooked through, shaking the pan to brown them evenly.Step 3
While the sausages cook, warm the buns in the oven.Step 4
When ready, slit the buns, spread a little butter inside, add the lettuce and sausage, then drizzle the teriyaki sauce on. Squeeze the mayo over the top in a zig zag pattern, then sprinkle with spring onion, sesame seeds and nori.
