This maple glazed bacon takes your toppings to a whole new level. Sweet, salty, and perfectly crisp, it brings balance to the deliciously creamy potato ice cream – because why shouldn’t bacon be dessert?

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp light soft brown sugar
  • 3 strips of unsmoked streaky bacon

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat oven to 200ºC/180ºC fan gas 6.
  • Step 2

    Mix the maple syrup and sugar in a small bowl.
  • Step 3

    Lay bacon on a lined baking tray, brush with half the maple mixture, and bake for 15 mins.
  • Step 4

    Flip, brush with the remaining mixture, and return to the oven for another 10 mins.
  • Step 5

    Let cool, then slice into small pieces to sprinkle on top.
