Marmalade Negroni by Aber Falls

The Negroni is one of those cocktails with a long and storied history. Part of the attraction must come from the fact that it’s so simple – just three principal ingredients in equal quantities. It’s so popular that it’s inspired a number of variations (for example the boulevardier uses whisky instead of gin). Here the twist is subtle, but significant. The plain London Dry gin is swapped out for Aber Falls Orange Marmalade Gin. This enhances the traditional hint of orange supplied by the orange peel garnish. The demerara sugar and angostura bitters dial up the sweetness and bitterness. In Italy the Negroni is drunk as an aperitif, but you can drink this version whenever you’re having cocktails.Time and servings
