This marmalade sour recipe is easy to make and a great addition to any dinner or drinks party, it’s a very adaptable and versatile cocktail. The marmalade adds sweetness with a slight floral aroma and a slight bitterness from the small bits of orange peel and the whisky adds a slight woody taste, a punchy yet drinkable combination. Ingredients
- 50 ml of the glenlivet 12 year old whisky
- 25 ml of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp of orange marmalade
- 1 orange, peeled to garnish
- 25 ml of egg white (or chickpea water, for a vegan version)
Method
Step 1
Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker to combine. Add ice cubes; shake again.Step 2
Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a twist of orange.
