The marmalade adds sweetness with a slight floral aroma and a slight bitterness from the small bits of orange peel and the whisky adds a slight woody taste, a punchy yet drinkable combination. Serve with frothy foamy egg white for extra indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml of the glenlivet 12 year old whisky
  • 25 ml of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of orange marmalade
  • 1 orange, peeled to garnish
  • 25 ml of egg white (or chickpea water, for a vegan version)

Method

  • Step 1

    Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker to combine. Add ice cubes; shake again.

  • Step 2

    Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a twist of orange.
