Ingredients
- 1 bottle of shiraz
- 8 whole cloves
- 75 g of soft light brown sugar
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 sprinkle of grated nutmeg, (optional)
Method
Step 1
Stud the orange slices with the cloves.Step 2
Put 2 glasses of wine into a saucepan with the sugar and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved.Step 3
Add remaining wine, the clove-studded oranges, cinnamon sticks and grated nutmeg.Step 4
Heat gently until warmed through. Ladle into heat-proof glasses to serve.
