taste of NY Deli. Tender beef, fiery chilly and sweet pickles. All topped with
molten cheddar and a tangy steakhouse sauce. The number 1 BBQ sub.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 2 bavette steaks, (approx 200g each)
- 1 tsp of garlic granules
- 0.5 tsp of celery salt
- 0.5 tsp of oregano
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 150 g of cheddar cheese
- 4 onions
- 1 handful of sliced jalapenos
- 1 handful of sliced gherkins
- 1 drizzle of bull's-eye steakhouse sauce.
- 4 hot dog rolls
Method
Step 1
Combine all spices together.Step 2
Rub into meat and leave for 1 hour at room temp.Step 3
Get the coals smoking hot. (250+c)Step 4
Brush the bars with oil and grill the steaks on each side (to your liking).Step 5
Rest them in paper until completely cool.Step 6
Slice thinly.Step 7
In a skillet add a glug of oil and fry the onions until slightly softened, add the meat and cook until warm.Step 8
Add the Steak House sauce and top with grated cheese allow the cheese to melt.Step 9
Divide the mix between 4 grilled subs and top with the pickles.
