This long-standing cocktail has been served since the 1800’s and is still much-loved today. Use up this nutty, creamy Jameson black barrel whiskey with a hint of vanilla in this classic cocktail, served with bitters over ice and garnished with orange peel. An easy aperitivo cocktail before a big hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml of jameson irish whiskey
  • 5 ml of sugar syrup
  • 2 dashes of cocktail bitters
  • 1 slice of orange peel, to garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Fill a tall glass or cocktail shaker with ice. Add the whiskey, sugar syrup and bitters. Stir until ice-cold.

  • Step 2

    Add some ice cubes to a rocks glass, strain the chilled cocktail into the glass, then garnish with the orange peel.
