Ingredients
- 1 drizzle of sunflower oil
- 3 - 4 desirée potatoes (about 1kg)
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 large of bunch flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
- 1 large of lemon, grated zest only
- 1 small of onion, finely chopped
- 500 g of minced beef
- 4 bread rolls, to serve
Method
Step 1
Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan and gently cook the onion and garlic until soft but not coloured.Step 2
Combine the onion and garlic with the other burger ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.Step 3
Shape the mixture into four burgers. Make sure all the burgers are the same thickness so that they will cook evenly. Cover with cling film and chill for at least 30 minutes or until ready to cook.Step 4
Heat the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/gas 7. Cut the unpeeled potatoes into thick chips of similar thickness so they cook evenly.Step 5
Toss with the olive oil and tip onto a baking tray. Add the garlic and toss the chips. Roast for 20-30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked and deliciously golden brown.Step 6
Lightly oil both sides of the burger and grill for approximately 5 minutes, on each side.
