Published on 24 March 2023
Pigs in blankets – what a treat. Many of us would say it’s one of the highlights of our Christmas or festive dinner. But why wait until the mistletoe is hanging before you enjoy the delights of sausage wrapped in bacon? The pigs in blankets traybake by Celebrity MasterChef winner and friend of Ocado Lisa Faulkner is the answer. The salty bacon and sweet veg make great companions in this hearty, simple dish. And yes it is simple. Apart from parboiling the potatoes and carrots, the rest of the meal is pure, simple traybaking. It takes 50 minutes in the oven, but requires very little in the way of preparation. The perfect tasty midweek meal for lovers of double meat in general and pigs in blankets in particular. Looking for more traybake dinner ideas? We’ve got you covered.
