Ingredients

  • 200 ml of vodka
  • 360 ml of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 pinch of chilli powder
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges and slices

Method

  • Step 1

    Fill a jug with ice – be generous, using as much as you have to hand. The aim is to chill the cocktail; too little and it’ll simply melt and dilute the drink. Pour in the vodka and grapefruit juice and stir.

  • Step 2

    Combine the salt and chilli on a saucer. Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of 4 glasses, then dip each into the chilli salt.

  • Step 3

    Fill the glasses with ice, strain the chilled cocktail into each and garnish with slices of lime.
