
Rosemary-baked Camembert with Garlic Ciabatta Toast

Melting baked camembert is the ultimate cheesy comfort food, perfect for sharing on the sofa on a cosy autumn evening or as an indulgent dinner party starter. All you need is fresh rosemary, garlic, olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt to bring this oven-baked classic to life. Time and servings

Ingredients
- 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 250 g of camembert
- 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
- 4 tsp of extra virgin olive oil, to drizzle
- 4 slices of ciabatta
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6.Step 2
Remove the plastic wrapper from a 250g wheel of camembert and pop it back in the box with the lid off.Step 3
Use a knife to pierce the top of the cheese all over and insert pieces of peeled, sliced garlic and sprigs of fresh rosemary into the holes.Step 4
Brush with olive oil and place on a baking tray in the oven for 10 mins, or until oozy in the middle.Step 5
Meanwhile, slice a ciabatta loaf into rounds, drizzle one side with olive oil and place cut-side down in a hot griddle or frying pan until toasted.Step 6
Rub the toasted side of the bread with a garlic clove cut in half and dunk into the gooey cheese.
