Rosemary Turkey Sourdough Melt

Rosemary Turkey Sourdough Melt

By OcadoLife
Published on 02 December 2021
Take your leftover turkey sandwiches up a notch this year with delicious sourdough and melted cheese. Rosemary is a strong flavour so you don't need much in this recipe – you could swap for sage leaves or fresh oregano, if you have it. We've used emmental cheese but gouda works well too

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 4 slices of cooked turkey, leftovers
  • 2 tbsp of stuffing, leftovers
  • 2 tbsp of cranberry sauce
  • 2 slices of emmental cheese
  • 1 pinch of fresh rosemary, leaves, finely chopped

Method

  • Step 1

Lightly butter one side of 2 slices of sourdough bread, and place butter-side down in a lightly greased, medium-hot, non-stick pan.
  • Step 2

Carefully top with a few slices of leftover turkey, a little stuffing, a spoonful of cranberry sauce, a scattering of finely chopped rosemary leaves and a slice of emmental, or other melty cheese.
  • Step 3

Butter two more slices of sourdough and put them on top of the filling butter-side up. Gently press them down with a fish slice or spatula until the bottom slice has turned golden.
  • Step 4

Carefully turn them over, and repeat until done.
