
Salted Caramel Profiteroles

Combining saltiness with sweetness, and crisp choux with a soft, creamy filling, these Salted Caramel Profiteroles are heaven on a plate. The retro dainty buns are so light and airy – the perfect vessel for clouds of sweet cream. Ingredients
- 4 tbsp of salted caramel spread
- 200 ml of double cream
- 2 tsp of icing sugar
Method
Step 1
For the filling, pour the cream into a large bowl and sift in the icing sugar. Using an electric or balloon whisk, whip the cream to soft peaks.Step 2
Halve the profiteroles, then spoon the cream into a piping bag fitted with a small star nozzle (or simply use a teaspoon to spread the cream). Pipe or spread the cream onto the bottom half of each profiterole to create a wavy effect.Step 3
Top each profiterole lid with a little dollop of the salted caramel spread and gently position on top of the cream-topped buns.
