It’s an easy assembly job using handy shop-bought ingredients, giving you a street-food experience at home in just 15 minutes. Simply load up warm, soft tortillas with houmous, falafel and onions, then dial the chilli sauce up or down to suit your mood.

Ingredients

  • 16 falafels
  • 8 small soft tacos
  • 8 tbsp houmous
  • 2 tbsp pickled red onions
  • 8 tsp green chilli sauce
  • 2 limes, cut in to wedges

Method

  • Step 1

    Cook the falafels in the air fryer or oven according to pack instructions. Warm the tacos in a dry frying pan for 20 secs on each side; keep warm in a clean tea towel.
  • Step 2

    To assemble, spread each taco with a tbsp of houmous, then top with a couple of falafels and smash slightly with the back of a spoon.
  • Step 3

    Scatter over the onions, then drizzle over the chilli sauce and serve immediately with lime wedges for squeezing over.
