
Sparkling Strawberry and Peach Sangria

Sparkling Strawberry and Peach Sangria. “In my special recipe, I add spices and fresh fruit to
warm syrup, which really intensifies their flavours in the drink. I’ve used yellow peaches, but

Ingredients
- 3 peaches, chopped into 2 cm pieces
- 150g caster sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 8 black peppercorns
- 1 (227g) pack strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 150ml brandy
- 2 bottles cava brut
Method
Step 1
Put the peaches, sugar, cinnamon stick and peppercorns in a saucepan with 150ml water. Bring to the boil, simmer for 1 min, then remove from the heat. Stir in the strawberries and brandy; chill for 1 hr.Step 2
To serve, fill a large jug with ice, add half the chilled fruit syrup and top up with cava. Give it a stir and pour into glasses. Top up the jug as needed with more syrup and cava.
