
Spicy Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
- 4 buns, seeded
- 1 tomato, large, ripe and sliced
- 1 egg white
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 60 g of breadcrumbs, fresh
- 2 tbsp of onion, finely chopped
- 2 handfuls of lettuce, shredded
- 2 tbsp of parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp of dijon mustard
- 450 g of minced turkey
Method
Step 1
Mix the turkey, onion, parsley, mustard, garlic, breadcrumbs, and egg white in a bowl, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties, each 1cm (1/2in) thick.Step 2
Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the patties and fry for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Meanwhile, toast the buns.Step 3
Place a turkey patty into each bun, with 1–2 tomato slices and some shredded lettuce.
