
Still Lemonade

For a summertime drink with a citrus hit, this homemade Still Lemonade fits the bill. Tart, sweet and refreshing all at the same time, it’s easy to make and is sure to be a hit with guests at a garden party. For a pink twist, try simmering raspberries and a sprig of rosemary with the sugar and water, then strain before combining with the other ingredients.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 150 g of caster sugar
- 200 ml of lemon juice, juiced
- 2 lemons, sliced, to serve
Method
Step 1
Make a sugar syrup by heating the caster sugar and 250ml water in a pan, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside to cool.Step 2
Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher, add the sugar syrup then top up with 400-500ml cold water, to taste, and add lemon slices. Keep in mind that adding ice to serve will dilute the flavour.
