Ingredients

  • 1 boneless skinless chicken thigh
  • 120ml buttermilk
  • 100ml Tingly Ted's Hot Sauce
  • 80g red cabbage, finely sliced
  • 150g plain flour
  • 1 tsp spray oil (approx 10 sprays)
  • 1 burger bun, halved horizontally
  • 40ml Heinz Mayonnaise
  • 4 jalapeno slices

Method

  • Step 1

Put the chicken thigh in a small bowl and cover with buttermilk and 50ml Tingly Ted’s Hot Sauce. Cover and chill for at least 2 hrs or overnight.
  • Step 2

Set the air fryer to 200°C.
  • Step 3

Sprinkle the flour over a lipped plate or shallow bowl. Remove the chicken from the marinade, dip in the flour until fully covered.
  • Step 4

Spray the chicken with oil and put it in the air fryer for 10 mins. After 10 mins, turn over and continue to cook for 5 more mins.
  • Step 5

    Meanwhile, toast the burger bun.
  • Step 6

To assemble the burger: spread the bun base with Heinz Mayonnaise, top with the fried chicken, drizzle with the remaining 50ml Tingly Ted’s Hot Sauce then add the shredded cabbage, sliced jalapenos and sandwich with the bun lid to serve.
