The Old School Ice Cream

Here the much loved Viennetta is taken off a plate (or out of a bowl) and placed in a sundae glass or tub. The toppings include sticky toffee sauce, hazelnuts, squirty cream, and swanky Chloe’s hazelnut and cocoa wafers, plus the quirky addition of cocktail cherries and Sherbet Dib Dabs. Since it was launched in 1982, the Viennetta has become the Beatles of British ice creams and is now sold across the globe. Here it is used as a canvas that’s painted with traditional British flavours and childhood-favourite toppings to whisk you back to a mythical 1980s childhood somewhere in the UK (space aliens may be involved).
