Ingredients
- 1 tomahawk steak
- 1 pack of crispy potatos
- 300 g of picard creamed spinach
Method
Step 1
Remove the steak from the fridge 2 hrs before cooking.Step 2
Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and lay the potato slices on it. Put the tray in the oven for 25 mins until the potatoes are golden and crisp.Step 3
Heat a large ovenproof frying pan over a high heat. Season the tomahawk with salt and pepper just before cooking. Place into the pan and cook for 3-4 mins each side to develop a crust.Step 4
Transfer the steak in its pan to the oven for 10 mins for medium rare, longer if you prefer it well done. Then remove and allow to rest.Step 5
Take the spinach from the freezer and put into a saucepan. Cook the spinach on a medium heat, stirring, for 12 mins.Step 6
Serve the steak, carved from the bone, alongside the crispy potatoes and creamed spinach.
