
Tuna and Sweetcorn Funny Face Fishcakes

Enjoy creating your own funny faces on your fishcakes! There are no rules - it's time to get creative!Cooking is a wonderful way to spend time and have fun with your children. Involving them in the process means they will take pride in the food they have made and will enjoy eating and sharing it even more.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of sweetcorn
- 1 handful of cress
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 green salad, to serve
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 tin of tuna in spring water
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 10 chives
- 1 handful of peas, cooked
- 5 cherry tomatoes, washed
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 splash of milk
- 1 carrot
Method
Step 1
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cress, peel and finely slice the carrot and chop the spring onions.Step 2
Chop the potatoes into small chunks and boil them until they're ready to mash.Step 3
Add the milk, mash your potatoes well and leave them to cool.Step 4
Once cooled, add the tuna, spring onions and sweetcorn.Step 5
Beat your egg and add just half to the mixture. Mix well.Step 6
Squish the mixture into 6 fish cakes, put them on a plate and pop into the fridge for 15 mins to become firm.Step 7
Heat your vegetable oil in a non-stick pan and fry your fish cakes for 3 mins on each side until golden.Step 8
Make a funny face on your fish cakes using the chives, cherry tomatoes, peas, cress and carrot! There are no rules here!Step 9
Serve with a crunchy green salad and tuck in!
