These pretty White Chocolate Button Wreaths from recipe writer Caroline Morrish are designed to be hung on the Christmas tree, but they work just as well as year-round sweet treats. They’re great fun to make – and decorate – and kids will love to get involved. The only hard bit will be not eating all the chocolate buttons while you work! Ingredients
- 1 (196g) pack giant white chocolate buttons
- 1 tbsp sprinkles (approx.), to decorate
- 1 tbsp chopped dried fruit (approx.), to decorate
- 1 pack decorating icing
Method
Step 1
Line a large tray with baking paper. Set aside about one-third of the chocolate buttons and arrange the rest into 6 or 7 wreaths on the tray (use 8-10 buttons per wreath).Step 2
Put the set-aside buttons in a microwaveable bowl and microwave in 15-sec blasts until melted (or melt in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water). Use the melted chocolate to ‘glue’ the wreath buttons together.Step 3
Drizzle a little more chocolate over the wreaths and decorate with your choice of sprinkles or chopped dried fruit – or drizzle with coloured icing. Chill for 30 mins or until set. Thread with ribbon and hang on the tree.
