Product information

The Uprising pays homage to Australia's "Rum Rebellion" of 1808. Due to the Government's hindering of the rum trade, the rebellion was the only time a group of soldiers and citizens banded together to overthrow the Government.
A portion of this wine has thus been aged for 30 days in rum barrels and is dark with jammy flavours and a smoky finish.

Unsual wine

This is a very unusual wine given the rum barrel storage. It is quite sweet, very fruity and low on tannins. Not usually my kind of thing but its not bad. Id say its worth a try as its different.

Sweet and fruity

A lovely wine, you can enjoy on it's own, Although it is VERY sweet, sweeter than any wine I've tasted before. However, I do like the flavour and it has a lovely aftertaste.

Yes Yes Yes

We really love the full body without the nasty after taste some red wines leave, this wine is delicious for just drinking while chatting or with a meal, I would recommend

Lovely and very drinkable

So glad this is back in stock on Ocado. Very smooth, drinkable and I like the subtle hint of flavour you get from it being aged in rum barrels. Yum.

great wine

Purchased this upon recommendation and really pleased with it. Combining my favourite Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet really couldnt go wrong. Wish Id found this sooner and will be a regular purchase. Please put on offer so we can stock up.

Please do not stop selling this wine is my favourite, full bodied deep red wine. Lovely.
