Ariel Original washing liquid laundry detergent provides an outstanding cleaning result in 1 wash even in colder temperatures. Its formula was especially designed for cold, including COOL CLEAN Technology. Ariel liquid detergent also brightens your whites and hinders sweat stain built up. On top, Ariel washing liquid comes in a 100% recyclable packaging that contains recycled plastic (further information at ariel.co.uk/en-gb/RecycledContent). You can also use Ariel Original liquid detergent to pretreat stains with the green cap, then place your clothes in your washing machine. For best results, insert dosing cap containing the laundry detergent into the washing machine drum. For environmental reasons we do not equip all bottles with a measuring cap, it is available free of charge on ariel.info website.

Now I know!

I couldn't understand why all of a sudden my laundry had a nasty smell. I looked at other reviews. It is the washing liquid. It does clean the laundry and I am still using it because I don't want to pour it out as waste but I am so aware of the smell and it is very unpleasant.

They have changed it and the smell is terrible its gone in the bin and we had to get a new one to get rid of the smell

Foul Smell

I had to re-wash the load with a different brand as I couldn't bear the smell.

Sickly and nauseating smell.

I have been using the Original Ariel Liquid for over twenty years and had no problems with it until now. A foul smelling ingredient has been added to it and all my laundry smells damp and horrible even after line drying in the fresh air. I will never ever use this product again.

amazing for cloth nappies

Cant fault it and not sure why people are commenting on the smell. Maybe youre using too much? I do one load a day and use this with everything - never had issues with fading or scent.
