dry and crumbly
every slice fell apart. dry texture. definitely not good for sandwiches. OK when toasted, as long as you like tiny pieces of toast.
Bag of crumbs
Opened the bag and every single slice fell to pieces, it had such a dry texture alot of it was nothing more than crumbs
A strange taste
A strange taste, will not buy again
fell to pieces
I'm used to GF bread, thought I would have a change and try this one. It was dry and fell to pieces when I took it out of the packet. I tried to butter what was left to make a sandwich but it disintegrated I tasted a couple of pieces, very strange taste, not at all pleasant.
So so
I was given this as a sub as the sourdough I had chosen was out of stock. It says it's soft but it's not. The slices are a decent size but very thin. It must be toasted to be enjoyed or it crumbles. It tastes ok but I wouldn't buy again
Recipe changed \- and not for the better!
This used to be my absolute favourite, I only bought this bread for years and I kept it in the freezer to have a supply in case it was out of stock here. But it looks like the producer changed the recipe. The new one is absolutely awful, the bread is tasteless and with a hint of sweetness to it. It's like eating a dense sponge rather than bread. The crust is burnt and the inside is too under-baked. As a result a toast ends up being burnt on the outside when it's still soft-ish on the inside. I hope this change is a temporary experiment. If not, I'm going to have to look for a different brand.
