Preparation and Usage
How to use me, it's as easy as 1.2.3...
In Conventional Ovens:
1. Pre-heat oven to required temperature. Season food and place in Bacofoil Flavour Seal Roasting Bag. Allow sufficient air inside the bag to assist the meat to brown and tie bag loosely with nylon tie.
2. Lie the bag flat in a deep roasting tin. Pierce 15 fine holes in the top of the bag to allow steam to escape. Make sure the bag does not touch the oven walls, racks or heating element.
3. Cook for the required length of time. Carefully remove from the oven and leave to stand for 5 minutes before opening.
Caution, the steam will be very hot. Cut the bag open, remove the contents and serve!
In Microwave Oven - Note: Cooking whole poultry and large joints is best advised in a conventional oven.
1. Use in the same way as in a conventional oven and place in a microwave-safe dish and cook at the appropriate power level for the required time.
2. Pierce 15 fine holes in the top of the bag to allow steam to escape. Make sure the bag does not touch the microwave walls, racks or heating element.
3. Carefully remove from the microwave and leave to stand for 5 minutes before opening. Caution, the steam will be very hot. Cut the bag open, remove the contents and serve!
Cooking Guide:
Beef: Temp: 200°C 400°F Gas Mark 6, Time: 25 mins per 500g plus 25 mins extra
Lamb: Temp: 190°C 375°F Gas Mark 5, Time: 25 mins per 500g plus 25 mins extra
Pork: Temp: 190°C 375°F Gas Mark 5, Time: 30 mins per 500g plus 25 mins extra
Veal: Temp: 200°C 400°F Gas Mark 6, Time: 25 mins per 500g plus 25 mins extra
Poultry: Temp: 190°C 375°F Gas Mark 5, Time: 20 mins per 500g plus 25 mins extra
Cooking times can be varied according to individual preferences and differences between appliances.

Great
Excellent for keeping the oven clean and the moisture in the meat. Turkey is especially good when roasted in one of these bags. Just wish one of the manufactures would come up with a bag sized between these very large ones and the much smaller ones.
better ones out there
Bought these especially for Christmas dinner as they were larger than my usual ones. What a waste of time! Followed the instructions and they still blew in the oven and burst so absolutely no use. Better ones out there than these.
Excellent product.
I use these and the smaller ones all the time. Obviously larger joints other than turkey can be roasted this way. The bags keep the oven clean and the meat really moist.
Produced an amazingly tender turkey - a must use
We used one of these last Christmas. Consensus view from the family was that the turkey was perfectly cooked, moist and very tender, and probably one of the best we've had. Fully concur with the last reviewer and in future, we'll use these in preference to using lots of aluminium foil to wrap the bird and create your voluminous "air tent" for cooking; though you'll still need a small piece of foil later to protect the cold meat remains - if you have any!
turkey cooked amazingly!
Other than it felt a little odd roasting my turkey in a plastic bag, these bags are amazing! I had a 8.5kg turkey in one of these and it cooked evenly, and was even crispy inside the bag. The bag sped up the cooking time slightly, but kept my turkey more moist than without the bag. The bag also stayed intact and kept all the juices in which made the process a lot less messy and it was easy to baste the juices out at the end. Definitely will be buying these again!
