Great flavour but clogs up my grinder
The blend here is spot on, but unfortunately the allspice berries that add so much to the flavour also clog up just about every grinder I have tried, so you might need to get your pestle and mortar out...
My favourite pepper mix just got slightly better.
As nice as the allspice/pimento was, the corns were too big for any grinder I have. These now seem to have been removed from the mix, which is actually a great improvement in my opinion. A great pepper mix, which is well blended and the best mixed pepper corns on the market.
Great flavour
I was so pleased that Bart has this refill for the pepper mill I bought, The pepper is lovely and I am not using a fan and only bought pepper for my son to use, but this has converted me especially on scrambled egg and salmon or crispy French fries.
HOW TO GET PAST THE PIMENTO
This mix is well worth grinding in a pestle and mortar to use as a seasoning for cooking (soups/roast potatoes etc) or as a condiment on the table as it has a lovely flavour. I make people who are waiting to be fed do the job!
Unless you want the large things
I have a grinder with a plastic grid that holds the spindle in the centre. The large things, pimento?, won't go through the grid. Other customers seem to have a variety of problems with this ingredient in the mix and I wouldn't buy this again unless it was removed.
