Preparation and Usage

Grind in a pestle and mortar before mixing with olive oil and rub onto beef or tuna steaks before frying. Pop a handful into boiling water with chopped celery and carrot when cooking ham.

Brilliant alternative to those in brine

Very hard to get hold of generally and these do the job perfectly for green peppercorn sauce with steak. Also much easier to crush than those in brine.

Good flavoured pepper

I grind at least half immediately because we enjoy the flavour of a tap of green pepper on dairy food. It's especially nice on hard boiled eggs & a tiny tap sprinkled & spread on cheese on toast half way through grilling really complements & enhances the flavour. 'Same applies when a tap's added to cheese sauce or any melted cheese topping. We find green pepper is less sharp than white, sometimes about the same or slightly milder than black pepper but has a pleasant distinctive flavour & hint of aroma all it's own.

love them, crushed on my sirloin steak, cannot get them from anywhere else
