It has heat i’ll give it that
The tongue tingling spice level in this is so intense you cannot taste the wonderful meal you have just prepared. I followed a great and highly trusted Hairy Bikers Chilli Con Carne recipe ……. garlic, sautéed onions….etc etc…. We absolutely love hot spicy food….chilli flakes are condiment in this house… However apart from an overriding artificial citrus flavour…this mix just numbs every sense …. have soured cream on standby….if you want the result to be edible and bordering on enjoyable.
Great taste and love the clever lid
Barts have come up with such a clever lid - open it one way and you can sprinkle the powder, open it the other and you can spoon it out. I tend to add chilli to taste, not according to quantities given in recipes. I've always got a pot of mild chilli too and some paprika, so I season to taste. Not as hot as cayenne, but very warming and tasty.
Beware!!!
Unless you want heartburn and a migraine and fever-like spice experience, steer clear of this! We actually has to throw it out. Only used a tiny amount for our chili recipe and had to bin it because it came out too spicy. The tiniest amount will burn through your soul. I'm used to spice, but this is not nice!!!
