Product information

"Our rich Highlanders Beef Broth has a deep and meaty flavour. It's packed with tender beef, stacks of veg and handfuls of British pearl barley. Based on our recipe which has been passed down through the generations, this is a true family favourite."

A Regular favourite

A firm favourite. One of the best Baxter recipes I think,

Tasteless

Tastes of absolutely nothing.

Not nice.

Gloopy texture, tastes like beef stock cube with an undertow of lamb fat, with bits in it

Very disappointing

I like Baxters soup but this is watery, over salty and lacking much flavour. The meat and vegetables are also very processed. Wont but again.

Watery

I am 70 and have been a fan of Baxters soups all my life. But now they are on the slippery slope IMHO re quality. At one time, this variety was much thicker, lighter in colour, and had no overpowering gravy taste, because it had both beef and venison in it. Now it is just a tin of 98 per cent dark brown watery gravy, reminiscent of Oxo, with one per cent veg and one per cent beef thrown in. Completely dumbed down and too expensive by far, for what it really is.

Watery and tasteless.

The 3rd Baxters soup I've had this week and once again it appears something has changed. The Tomato, Spicy Parsnip and now this all appear to be watery and of a lesser quality than Heinz. Whatever has changed isn't good.
