Baxters Luxury Lobster Bisque Soup 400g
Product information
I love the smooth sophistication of this creamy soup. A delicate mix of Atlantic lobster & scampi combine to give It delicious seafood richness.
Dry white wine, fresh Scottish double cream & a dash of French brandy finish this soup with a flourish.

Tasty
I love this soup, I use it as a base for pasta sauces. You do need to use a fine sieve to remove the shell as there’s a lot of grittiness to it from the shell. But the flavour is lovey. I recommend adding cream and garlic (maybe a splash of brandy) and thickening slightly for a really tasty pasta sauce and I serve with prawns. It’s delicious
terrible
it was really terrible and tasteless so was poured down the sink
Decent
This bisque is very rich with a strong shellfish flavour, though if unaware of the ingredients I probably would not be able to identify it as lobster. It is mostly smooth and contains no chunks of seafood but is a tad gritty with fragments that are occasionally big enough to get stuck in teeth. The cream and alcohol add to the decadent feel of the product, but this combined with the fishiness meant that I found that the bisque started to become sickly before I was able to finish the bowl. That being said, I can imagine that this would make a flavoursome base for a pasta sauce or stew as it is pleasant in small quantities. All in all, a decent enough cupboard item for the price, considering the ingredients and quality.
Vile
Words cannot express how vile this is. I eat pretty much anything and this made me feel sick as I was eating it it's that bad. Very overpowering fish taste that contrary to the other reviews is NOT normal for lobster bisque. Do not buy.
great for a risotto
This bisque is such great value - I use it to make risotto and add scallops on top, creates a 10/10 dish!
Lovely.
Add a swirl of cream and some black pepper and its close to perfect.
