Yet another game of Jenga with ingredients
Quite literally a pale imitation of what it used to be. We used to buy this regularly, but it had been off the shopping list somehow for a couple of years. Then I bought two bottles last week, and well.... It used to have a decent ginger kick, but this more recent stuff was tasteless by comparison. As luck would have it, I subsequently came across an older bottle still unopened at the back of the cupboard, and was able to compare them directly. You could see straight away from the difference in colour there was more ginger in the older version, and this was confirmed by a taste test. Won't be purchasing again. If I have to resort to adding my own ginger, I might as well make it from scratch.
Hubbies Favourite
Tried this as a ncos drink and alternative to beer, Husband absolutely loves it, fresh ginger taste but it is a bit expensive.
Very mild ginger
A nice drink spoilt by the lack of ginger. Its not one for serious ginger beer drinkers.
Okay
Thus is okay. Nice bubbles. Nice ginger. But a but tame - there are better ones out there. But this is perfectly quaffable.
Too sweet, where’s the ginger?
Usually we like Belvoir drinks but this tastes like regular ginger ale. Too sweet and no kick.
2/5
I've tried all but the waitrose brand ginger beers and this is how I rank them: 1. Fever-Tree Ginger Beer 2. Bundaberg Ginger Beer 3. Fentimans Ginger Beer 4. Belvoir Ginger Beer Presse I look for the strongest ginger taste against mid to low sweetness. Belvoir tastes just like a random soda type drink. I don't consider it a ginger beer.
