under\-flavoured and oversweet
These have really very little going for them, they're just pure sugar with insufficient flavour and zero texture or interest. The chocolate coating is low-cocao and lacks flavour, and the mint taste is nothing-y. I much prefer the Elizabeth Shaw mint crisps since the small honeycomb pieces add crunch and mouth-feel - in comparison these are like bland little sugar pills. Not a treat or anything to look forward to and the price is ridiculous - I've had better free mints with a dinner in an indian restaurant.
bargain on sale
Really like these chocolates, basic mint and dark chocolates, and they are a good selection.
These are awful
I should have stuck with Elizabeth Shaw, they are lovely. Made the mistake of buying two boxes, waste of money I threw them in the bin! Tried these, as they were recommended by a friend! I won't ask her advice again
An excellent example of shrinkflation!
Whilst the chocolates are nice, you do not get a lot for your money. The box has a handful of chocolates which have definitely got smaller over the years.
best mint chocolates
If I wasn't dieting, I'd eat this for breakfast dinner and tea, they are delicious. Dairy free and high quality tasting. There is a variety so the different colours give different levels of fondant or none at all. I like the golden colour ones best but others who ate them prefer the green. They don't last long though as they are so moorish and lovely with coffee.
Excellent Digestif
My Mum introduced me to Bendicks and I’ll always have a box or two around at Christmas and celebration times. The after eight brigade will enjoy the Elizabethan, the matchmaker will go for the mint crisp, The bittermints are stronger still and the baton a lovely dark choc bar. Mint aids digestion so these chocs are actually good for you! Delicious.
