Great topping for cupcakes
This icing is even better if whisked with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. It makes the icing light and fluffy and using a large star nozzle, gives an amazing result on 12 cupcakes. Bonus is it's gluten and dairy free.
its icing, so yes its sweet
Its dairy and gluten free though. And a good consistency for icing or piping. It tastes like cream cheese so Im confused by the vanilla comments. Since its dairy-free, its made with oil. Thats how it goes :-)
disgusting
Tates like old oil, chalk and tons of artificial sweetener. Runny and greasy texture. Truly appalling
Better than I expected
Having read the reviews I didn't expect to really like this, but I was in a hurry to do a lot of baking in a short time and thought I'd give it a go. Had I made my own, it would have been basically butter and icing sugar anyway, so reviews saying it was too sweet didn't bother me, icing is basically sugar anyway. So I made a carrot cake then tasted a bit of this icing and thought it was ok, but I would add a bit more flavour - I grated an orange and added a touch of my own vanilla and it really was a very nice addition to the carrot cake.
Nice with carrot cake.
for a GF and DF icing.
It tastes of slightly out of date vegetable fat.
I wouldnt buy this again. Its useable, but the dominant flavor after the sugar is slightly stale vegetable fat. Grim.
