Should rename these Small K Heat Logs. Another company that thinks the end user is stupid and will not notice the huge reduction in size. Just be honest and put the price up, at least we will get what we expected and not some tiny undersized mini heat logs.
Burn really well
These are great for log burners. Each burns for 2-3 hours and throw out a good amount of heat.
Good
Ive just tried these. Whilst they dont get my wood burner to the too hot range, they are perfect for keeping the burner at a moderate heat all evening. Will definitely buy again - they burn for a long time.
Good heat logs
Have used these for the whole winter in our log burning stove. Make a small bridge using 3 lengths of kindling and put two of these logs across the bridge and place a firelighter in the centre underneath. A fair bit of air is needed to get a good fire burning, but once you have a flame this can be cut back and the logs with first flame nicely and then settle into glowing embers. We have found that the first two longs will give just over an hour of heat and if you then add a couple more logs on top, this will keep the stove going for another couple of hours. The logs burn very cleanly, very little smell (provided you regulate the air correctly) and leave a clean light ash (which is ideal for cleaning the glass door of your stove). The only real problem is the increasing cost of these lofs - when we started to but them they came in at £6 a pack (50p each), but now they're nearly double that at £10 a pack, which I couldn't honestly recommend.
convenient
Easy to use, burn well and give off lots of heat. Simple to add to the wood burner for a quick fire
