Nowhere as good as previously…….
These were by far our favourite organic frozen salmon however they are nowhere as good as they used to be. The flavour and texture is good however the fillets have gone from being consistently well shaped to very irregular shaped and fat too often it looks like the end of the fish has been cut far beyond what should be used. Also, I recall these packets previously weighed 280G now 250G without a corresponding reduction in price…..if my memory is correct.
Tiny
These were £10 when I purchased them and they were absolutely minuscule! One 'fillet' was actually a sliver of the tail end - therefore it wasn't possible to serve them how I'd planned and I ended up having to flake them up and serve as a different dish.
Excellent
Eco friendly packaging too.
Full of large bones
These fillets were full of large sharp bones. Cannot recommend - they used to be lovely but Ive been put off buying them any more.
INCORRECT COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
I oven cooked these as per the instructions on the pack, which stated 20 mins from frozen. The fish was uncooked. I checked the Ocado site, which stated 40 mins from frozen, which I suspect to be the correct oven cooking time. Please be aware.
full of bones
I found 6 bones (and not small ones) in the two fillets in the pack. I was planning to feed it to my young children but wasnt confident to do so. Ended up eating it myself
