Not sure if others realise: the instructions require thorough rinsing before cooking. I was shocked to learn that, especially that these are flakes and not seeds, but I went ahead and rinsed a large amount (which I thought may have been too much). This was reduced to a small amount of paste which I then cooked as instructed. It tasted very bad, and the smell was all over the house, including the entrance hallway. I had to bin the rest.
Super quick to make and versatile
I have a very sensitive gut. I could feel how gently it was received and so gently digested. I made enough for 2 using one cup to 2 of water. In literally minutes its cooked. I added some tomato sauce for pasta, butter, petite pois, parmigiana and Worcestershire sauce. Loved it and served with roast chicken.
perfect porridge for my intolerant tummy
Love this so much, expensive but clean and good for you. I mix two-three heaped spoonfuls with some almond milk, 60 seconds in the microwave, stir and perfect.
contains gluten!
for an alternative to oat porridge which many celiac are also intolerant to, this contains or may contain gluten.! I wasted almost £6 on something I'll shove in the bin!
good porridge
I love the product. I mix some with oat as my kids are very picky to food, so by this way I am hiding it :) As for me it is good even itself .
Good, but no cooking instructions
I was surprised that this actually tasted pretty good. Not as strong of a taste as regular quinoa, which is good for breakfast. I cooked it with milk and it turned out creamy and a bit nutty. My 1.5 year old loved it with some fruit mixed in. My only frustration is that there were no cooking instructions! Sure, I can cook porridge and I can cook quinoa, but wasn't sure how much liquid these guys needed. I made it like porridge and it turned out well.
