slimy dark and not coming out of the tin
What happened to these? Can with date AUG 2024 was as per usual, light brown coloured beans in liquid, easily thrown onto the sieve to clean with water. Suddenly JAN 2025 cans came, dark beans covered in something slimy and they are not coming out of the tin without spoon. Considering how all other cans were up to now this was pretty yuck experience and not appetising to see at all so we didn't eat them! Anybody else has this kind of weird batch?
lovely
nice beans, went well in chili, good mood flavour
not keen
To be honest not really a lover of these types of beans these were a bit tasteless for a salad but they work well in a chilli
good
I generally dont like eating tin cans but the beans were good. I mixed them with a tomato sauce and they were perfect for my Sunday brunch!
Nice alternative to kidney beans
Used in a salad and tasted similar to kidney beans. I should imagine that they would also work well in a chilli con carne.
Good quality ingredient.
The beans are an attractive pinkish brown colour, of a uniform size. Convenient and nutritious to add to meals such as a pasta sauce dish or soup, and they have a good quality fresh taste.
