Biona Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil is carefully pressed from the flesh of fresh coconuts to retain its wonderful flavour and nutrients. Naturally saturated and free from trans-fatty acids - it is not bleached, refined or pasteurised. Coconut oil is extremely versatile, use as a spread, in baking or simply for cooking as an alternative to vegetable oils or butter. Coconut oil becomes liquid above 24°C. Our coconuts are sourced from the tropical island of Sri Lanka. The farm where our coconut products are harvested is rich in biodiversity. The families that run the plantation own cattle, who roam freely and whose dung, along with the coconut husks, acts as a fertilizer for the many species of other plants growing in the surrounding areas.

If I’d have known it was plastic I would not have purchased, Biona shame on you.

Plastic???

Nobody interested in this level of quality wants a plastic jar. Totally ridiculous. Please stock organic coconut extra virgin oil that comes in a glass jar.

PLASTIC JAR

Why is this in a plastic jar? Such a shame. Will not buy again and do not recommend.

Unfortunately in a plastic jar

The only reason why i am a bit annoyed is that it is in a plastic jar. Purchasing your coconut oil in a glass bottle or jar will help to ensure no chemicals from plastic have leached into the product.

plastics leach into oil, please put in GLASS jar

Great product...apart from the packaging. Bad for the environment and for health

Versatile and wonderful

My last jar was glass which I preferred however that doesn't take away from this amazing product. Great as a moisturiser, a conditioner, for chapped lips and heels but even more it is great spread on toast, as a high heat oil for stirfrys and roastys. Can you tell I'm hooked! Lasts ages too
