Will buy again, here\x27s why!
I was initially hesitant to purchase these, given some not-so-stellar reviews. However, as they seem to be the most economic organic option for lupin beans that I can find. I decided to give them a go. The beans are firm, however, sure maybe not the most punchy flavorful lupin beans I have had in the past. That said, they are incredibly versatile across dishes (I typically enjoy in a salad), were fresh upon arrival (gave a quick rinse in the collander), and have an incredible nutrient profile. Agree with others that a dash of sea salt goes a long way here. Overall, was very satisfied, however note that I buy for function and not best-in-class flavor. Will definitely be buying again. For anyone uncertain out there, I would recommend at least giving these a shot.
poor flavour
The beans should be in a hardish shell & a brine that makes them taste salty - these are soft, without any salt. Not recommended!
Allergy
Please be aware that many people could have a severe allergic reaction to Lupin. Some people with a peanut allergy could also be affected.
Mushy these were off
Was so excited that Ocado had lupin .. but these were bad and mushy .. definitely off … either a bad batch or just poor product
tasteless!!
These have nothing to do with lupini beans. They look like then but have no taste, are mushy. Worst proud t I have had from Ocado ever.
Ewww
Mushy. Unpleasant. Not like regular lupini, altramuces or tormos (whatever your preference for name)
