very nice
Like other reviewers mentioned, it has to be soaked overnight. I made a chicken risotto with this and it was delicious. I will never buy a processed white rice again
instructions flawed?
Even if you follow the instructions it takes over an hour to cook. Unsuitable for risotto. Will use for rice puddings and pray it works for those otherwise its going in the bin.
Tastes much better than white risotto rice
Great rice, to cook, you soak for 12 hours and then cook whole bag in 1.5l stock (adjust quantities as you like). Heat to boiling and then cook for 40 mins on low heat. Comes out perfectly as risotto rice.
Awful!
On two separate occasions, I cooked this rice for hours and it did not cook. The first time I hadn't realised that you need to soak it overnight but even after doing that, I spent hours cooking and still it was only al dente at best and horrible! Do not waste your money or time on this unless you're happy to spend hours cooking a risotto and having your dinner at bedtime!
SO BAD
Absolutely impossible to get it to absorb liquid, even after soaking for 24 hours. It is flavourless and takes forever to cook. Absolutely do not recommend
Wonderful!
Keen to avoid processed rice I ordered the wholegrain to try it. It is wonderful. We all very much prefer it from toddler to grandma. The key is to cook it first, as you would with basmati and then add to the risotto when the vegetables are cooked. Highly recommended.
