2x Chicken breasts, flattened to
1cm Thickness

For an authentic Katsu Curry with just 4 ingredients...
1 Coat - Combine the batter mix with water then coat the chicken or veggies, dip the coated chicken/veg into the panko breadcrumbs until evenly covered
2 Sizzle - Shallow fry the breaded chicken/veg for 5 minutes each side, or until golden and cooked through
3 Simmer - Warm the Katsu curry sauce in a saucepan for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve with steamed rice and enjoy!

1. Coat - Combine the batter mix with 100ml of water, take the chicken breast cover with cling film and flatten with a rolling pin to 1cm thickness then coat in the batter. Dip the batter coated chicken into the panko breadcrumbs until evenly covered pressing down firmly so that the breadcrumbs stick well.
2. Sizzle - Pour the oil into a pan to 2cm depth, heat the oil and shallow fry the breaded chicken for 5 minutes each side, or until golden and cooked through. Once cooked, place on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
3. Simmer warm the Katsu curry sauce in a saucepan for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Alternatively, heat the sauce in a microwave: pour the sauce into a bowl and heat on full power (800W) for 2 minutes.
Remove the bowl and stir the sauce.
4. Enjoy - For an authentic Katsu curry slice the chicken diagonally, spoon the sauce onto the plate and place the chicken on top of the sauce with steamed rice and enjoy!

1/2 carrot, a handful of shredded iceberg lettuce,

I really enjoyed this, it was really easy to make and it was delicious.
Absolute rubbish compared to the Waitrose kit
Please bring back the Waitrose Katsu Curry kit, it was superior to this in every way possible!
Not recommended
Sauce was very sweet, not like a good curry sauce at all. The panko breadcrumbs varied in size dramatically (from 'dust' to a very large 'chunk') giving a really strange texture to the chicken. Overall a very poor meal. I am so relieved that I only used one chicken breast and 1/2 of the ingredients - most of the meal went down the waste disposal!
Delicious!
Lovely crispy coating and the batter ensured it stuck to the chicken. Sauce was smooth and very pleasant, although I did stir a splash of cream through it prior to serving.
