palm oil & sugar?
Do your gut health a favour and go for Yutaka brand if you cant make your own
This is not panko
These are not panko breadcrumbs. This is more like broken up tempura batter. Which is fine if that is what you want but it serves a different purpose than panko. Will not be buying this again.
not the best
Found this comes in all sizes of crumb and doesnt stick to food very well.
good but ...
Fry up realy good when coated on chicken but there are realy big chunks and then fine crumbs- rather it all be medium chunks or crumbs rather than what is in the pack but tastes fine and browns nicely when shallow fried on meat
WORST purchase ever! NOT authentic panko!
If you're looking for panko to make Japanese Tonkatsu, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! It isn't uniform in size - proper panko looks like shredded coconut... this brand looks like cat litter; it does NOT adhere well, and where it does adhere, the coating is very uneven. I am Japanese and grew up eating and cooking Japanese food, so I know of what I speak. While this product may be suitable for some recipes it IS NOT suitable for any type of Japanese cooking.
Highly manufactured
Panko breadcrumbs seem to have a cult following despite the fact that they're highly manufactured and include sugar, salt and palm oil. They're undeniably crunchy but there are healthier alternatives.
