Tasting Notes
Extraordinarily round with a velvety taste. It presents aromas of black and red berries, with notes of dried fruit and chocolate.
History
Vinuva Nero d'Avola is a mouth-filling organic wine, a true expression of Sicily, a region blessed with consistent bright sunshine. Vinuva Nero d'Avola presents aromas of black and red berries and dried fruits.
Regional Information
Blessed with consistently bright sunshine and reliably moderate rainfall, Sicily's classic Mediterranean climate is ideally suited to the production of wine grapes. The warm, dry climate means that mildews and rots are kept to a minimum, particularly in well-ventilated areas which benefit from coastal breezes. This low disease pressure means that chemical sprays are hardly needed, meaning much Sicilian wine is produced from organic grapes.

2018
Vinification Details
The red grapes are macerated to extract colour and tannin. Then the fermentation takes place around 25 degrees Celsius over a couple of weeks, before the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then clarified, stabilised and filtered before bottling.

Didn't enjoy this at all. Too acidic. Two stars out of politeness.
