Pale yellow hue, green tints, wonderful brilliance. Floral notes, exotic fruit and citrus fruit and a hint of vegetal elements. Fresh, fruity and slightly vegetal on the attack, quite round on the. A really pleasant and thirst-quenching wine.
History
Calvet is a famous Bordeaux wine merchant which was established during the 19th century. It is a very well respected name thanks to its people's expertise and to the high quality of its wines. It has become the best selling Bordeaux brand in the UK.

Vinification Details
Vinified in our pressing room in Touraine. The grapes are picked in a rigorous plot selection and pressed directly. The must is racked thoroughly and is then put to ferment at ultra-low temperature (14ºC). The wines are then aged on fine lees for 4 months during which times the lees are stirred regularly. All the processes such as wine transfer or handling of the wine or must are carried out under CO2 protection to maximise aromatic retention.

Fabulous wine
Really good quality Tourraine we enjoyed this over the weekend with a few ice cubes a very light summer wine

Fresh, lively, crisp attack & acidity
I would say this Calvet Touraine rates 3.5 at normal price, but 4 when on offer. It tastes crisp and clean, appears fresh with a lively acidity on the palate, with a touch of minerality. To my palate it is fresh and crisp, rather than smooth and fruity, but a good wine nonetheless.
